Hello and welcome to my website. This is where you can find out about me.

I am a British artist living in East Sussex and I have my studio at home in Peacehaven close to the beautiful Sussex chalk cliffs.

I started my career as a window dresser after doing a British Display Society diploma course at Windsor College in Berkshire. This rekindled my love of art.

I moved down to Peacehaven in East Sussex close to the fishing port of Newhaven in 1981, changing my career path and ended up working for many years in admin and customer services management. Recently I had the opportunity to take early retirement in order to concentrate on my art.

Over the years, prior to taking up full time painting, I have sold and gifted many paintings from miniatures to a wall on the back of the stage at Molesey Football Club in Surrey. My first sale was a portrait of a Berber painted and sold in Zambia in the late 70’s.

Through my love of walking and dog walking in Sussex I have been inspired by the landscape and sea views to paint the local area including Seaford, Peacehaven, Brighton, Lewes and Cuckmere.

I work mainly in oils and acrylic as well as dabbling in watercolour and mixed media. Although I do quite a lot of seascapes and landscapes, I also paint portraits and pet portraits.

I am always trying out new ideas and gaining inspiration from new techniques.

I am a member of the Newhaven Art Club and also show on the Sussex Artists website.

Kind regards
